Lisa M.

6 May

at Motorino in the East Village…how do three people consume $180 worth of pizza and wine?  when freaking out over jewelry, apparently.

in Lisa’s own words…

So the watch is vintage 80s Casio gold-plated base metal.

The other watch (on wrist) is vintage 1960s Bulova with black cord band and gold details. Was my granny’s.

The colorful string and bling bracelet is from Henri Bendel. I love their clutches and costume jewelry!

The goldfish is 24k gold with ruby eyes, vintage from the 1970s. Was my mom’s.
The huge turquoise ring was purchased at an antique store in Washington, DC.
Nail polish? Essie Clam Bake!

Love from SENA!

on a recent rainy evening, SENA and I hit up Catbird in W’burg before I headed out to the Best First Date Ever at Berry Park.

and I made it on her blog!  I am my own amigo!

meanwhile, I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to wear my new dress

I have my sister (whom you’ve met here) to thank for introducing me to her friend Marcia.  Marcia is awesome!  the girl obviously has great taste too….she was wearing a vintage purse locket she’d picked up at an antiques store in Pennsylvania.

one of the best things about having a sister?  sharing jewelry, particularly when she wears pieces like the below.

Wednesday, 902p, apartment.

in the design studio or out at the party, girlfriend is unafraid and unapologetic…

and you know how I feel about people who like cheese (and awesome manicures).

*Sena is an excellent designer with a resume that reads like what I wish was in my closet…Alexander McQueen, Catherine Malandrino, LaROK, and best of all, her own label, SENA.

31 Jul

meet Chantal, our left-coast Etsy correspondent and all-around excellent girl.

this girl’s a west-coaster, all right.  self-portraits of jewelry in the car…loves it.

and that day of the dead/handmade in Guatemala aesthetic?  so hot right now.

22 Jul

Walter Foods, Saturday, 2:54p.

Kerri wearing a necklace she made herself, right around the corner in Brooklyn.

I want one…maybe she’ll make it limited-edition instead of one-of-a-kind.  Rhinestone chain and mobius-like element–I’m so there.  In the meantime, visit her blog at Concept/Conception or her website at K. Anne Designs .
