Dalton Ghetti

19 Aug

the term artisan gets casually thrown around these days but Connecticut based Dalton Ghetti is the real deal.  Relying entirely on eyesight (ie no magnifying aids), he uses hand tools to carve pencil tips into works of art.  equally impressive is the fact that Dalton is a professional carpenter.  he creates these miniature sculptures purely as a hobby and gives them as gifts.

ps.  did you know that diamond and graphite are identical in composition?  both are made up of carbon but the difference lies in how the carbon is structured.
